DRIVER SAFETY - 2009

• Quality designed/approved for racing helmets (snell 95 or newer) Goggles or Full Face mandatory.
• Flame resistant driver's uniform, gloves, shoes, hood & underwear are mandatory. The more layers; the more protection.
• Window nets mandatory for all classes.
• On board fire extinguisher; 2.5lb minimum.
• Electrical On/Off switch clearly identified. Master disconnect switch is mandatory and must be located within hand reach of driver's window.
• Approved racing seat - No fiberglass. Must be mounted with four grade 8.5" bolts.
• 5 Point racing harness with shoulder straps securely mounted, grade 8.5" bolts - 3 years or newer.
• Driver compartments fully enclosed – firewalls – floorboards.
• No one works under car without jack stands; stands are to have 1/8th steel plate welded to the bottom.
• All windows & spoilers to be made of clear materials only.
• Medical alert tags/labels affixed to helmets are highly recommended. Please disclose all medical conditions prior to race! It is highly recommended that you post such conditions on the driver's door A-post.
• 4 post roll cage, 3 left side door bars and at least 1 on right side. Pipe minimum 1.5 O.D. x .090 thickness.
• HEAD AND NECK RESTAINT SYSTEM HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

These safety rules apply to all classes, unless changed or modified by specific class rules. All safety rules must be met before you can compete and any race or event.
